With a warm smile, French President Emmanuel Macron and Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo received the book “The Portraits of Paris”—written and photographed by Bangladeshi young author and photographer Farid Ahamamd Rony. The special moment took place on October 29, 2025, at the Musée de la Marine, located within the Trocadero Palace, overlooking the Eiffel Tower.
More than just an art book, “Images of Paris” marks a significant milestone in Bangladesh’s publishing history — being the first trilingual (Bangla-English-French) photographic book ever published from the country.
France is often called the land of art and poetry. Its poets, writers, painters, and sculptors have enriched the world’s cultural and artistic heritage. In this legacy, Farid Ahammad Rony’s “Images of Paris” brings a fresh and vibrant visual interpretation of the city’s timeless beauty.
Each page of the book feels like a window—opening onto the history, culture, architecture, and art of Paris. From the glow of the Eiffel Tower to the grandeur of the Louvre, from street art and urban life to the elegance of French sculpture, every frame reflects Rony’s distinctive eye and artistic sensitivity.
“Images of Paris” is not merely a photo book—it is an aesthetic journey where words, colors, and emotions come together in perfect harmony.
Special gratitude has been expressed to Mr. Kazi Enayet Ullah, Secretary General of the All European Bangladesh Association (AEBA), and to the leading Bangladeshi publishing house Anyaprakash for their support.
Known as the city of love, poetry, and art, Paris comes alive in this book through the eyes of a Bangladeshi artist. The work not only captivates readers but also inspires a deeper appreciation for art and culture.
“Images of Paris” is an extraordinary creation—one that deserves a place in every art lover’s and culturally conscious reader’s collection.
